What a striking design by Thomas Heatherwick. This object is the six storey high UK pavilion which will be the absolut eyecatcher during Shanghai’s World Expo 2010. It is formed from some 60,000 slender transparent rods, which extend from the structure and quiver in the breeze. During the day it draws on daylight to illuminate the interior. At night, light sources at the interior end of each rod allow the whole structure to glow.

They’ve developed this little tool named destroy comic sans and does exactly what is says, destroy comic sans from your computer. You’ll have to run it before you can apply, some esthetic surgery on your computer..

In the line of the upcoming re-attention to carefully crafted handwork and real prints instead of digital one-click-and-its-gone images we want to pay attention to some nice artist who deliver some of the nicest gig posters.
The first in line is the team of The Silent Giants whom’s credo is to ‘create a little quite in this noisy world’. Nice thought, but even nicer work.
Some guys over in New York were tired of a big puddle of crap on the sidewalk that came out of a sewer pipe. Because this was there for a long time, they decide to build a little bridge, which helped people to cross the so called scum river. Eventually it got noticed by a NYC Council Member. They removed the sewer pipe and there was a clean sidewalk. Nice guerilla action for the neighborhood.
There is some information available about CEO in form of a biography, but when you read it you actually won’t get any wiser. It doesn’t matter, we still like the sound and the mix of flashing images together with cool graphics. This prologue is making curious for what’s next..

Searching Vimeo for some inspiring movies, we came across this one. A melodramatic film Noir which explores two people in a fleeting moment. Two strangers revealing their brief connection in a hyper real fantasy. It has the same look and feel as the recent short video that Prada shot for their newest menswear campaign.
