Mediterraneo

For summer 2010, one of my favorite mag’s Monocle, has a new addition to its editorial calendar. The Monocle Mediterraneo newspaper features a mix of essays, reportage, interviews and fashion. The specially curated summer newspaper will be accompanied by the Summer Series, a weekly audio show that will be broadcast on Monocle.com with live music and debate on Fridays at 12.00 CET.

Sounds and looks like must have material to read and listen to on your holiday destination of choice…

Last week, British music platform NME introduced Breakthrough. NME cleverly strengthens her position as music entity by facilitating upcoming bands and performers like These Monsters. The bands who stand out from the crowd have a chance to feature in various NME related initiatives like NME magazine and NME showcases, while music afficionados have a chance to discover new bands before they breakthrough.

New M.I.A

New M.I.A video! Directed by Romain Gavras, the man who was also responsible for the much talked about video Stress, he shot for Justice.
In the U.S it’s already prohibited (of course) because of the high density of violence, but hey, this is Europe and we can appreciate a good videoclip once in a while.

Note by: if you have a weak stomach you might consider not to watch.

Xbox Reverb is a music community driven by the bands and their fans. For each gig, a line-up featuring some of the UK’s hottest live acts collaborate with you to create a one-off live event just how you want it. Artists and bands involved so far include Ellie Goulding, Esser, Danananaykroyd, Pulled Apart by Horses, Sky Larkin, Copy Haho and Napoleon IIIrd. For the next and last edition you and the lovely Maccabees will co-create the perfect night out. The project sounds wicked. Maybe we should talk to Xbox NL to see what can unfold here…
