For summer 2010, one of my favorite mag’s Monocle, has a new addition to its editorial calendar. The Monocle Mediterraneo newspaper features a mix of essays, reportage, interviews and fashion. The specially curated summer newspaper will be accompanied by the Summer Series, a weekly audio show that will be broadcast on Monocle.com with live music and debate on Fridays at 12.00 CET.

Sounds and looks like must have material to read and listen to on your holiday destination of choice…

Tomorrow will kids conceptstore BonBon on the Block organise her first Blockparty for kids on the Westblaak in Rotterdam.
The Blockparty will be devoted to non-profit organization Hartedroom.

BonBon on the Block has found four Rotterdam based artist: Illustrator Lucky Dubz, artist Anouk Griffioen and designers Rens Muis & Pieter Vos from 75B, willing to make their an artwork together with their kids. Right after that there will be a auction curated by Howard Komproe.

Recently opened concept store BonBon on the Block, located on the Westblaak 26 in Rotterdam, focusses on kids in the range of 0-10. Entrepreneurs Marieke Kol & Lenny Vollebregt bring something in life that already existed for the adult market: a total lifestyle concept.
At BonBon on the Block people can get their newest sneakers and apparel, but also their designer accessories and toys for kids.

With the World Cup just days away, Louis Vuitton launches their latest campaign featuring the “Holy Trinity” of footie (soccer for the Yanks). The “Core Values” campaign features three of the world’s greatest players ever. Yes, ever.

The featured players are: Pele, Zidane and Maradona. Three great pleyers, but as we are talking about the greatest players ever, we wonder why Johan Cruijff is not on the menu….

The campaign was shot by Annie Lebowitz. “The dedicated website: louisvuittonjourneys.com will feature a conversation between the three players, in which they discuss their careers, recall the great matches they played in, and exchange views on the world’s favourite game. To finish, Pelé and Zidane challenge each other to a match of table football.”
