Lately we bumped into a nice feature on the New York Times website. At the ‘Screentest’ page, actors are doing screentests while being interview by Lynn Hirshberg. Sometimes it’s so easy to get inspired.. watch some more little talks after the jump
Designer Alex Cornell wondered what would happen if he redesigned Playboy magazine and made it something that you would actually ‘read for the the articles’. This resulted in an extensive imaginary redesign which to us looks pretty damn good. Read the rest of this entry »
The programme of the Museum Night is varied and consists only of pure highlights. The Witte de Withstraat and the Museumpark is the booming centre of the night. See you tomorrow night @ Henrik Vibskov @ NAI, R♥T(T)TERDAM, the ‘cultural supermarket’ @ Meent (119-133), the MaHo district were small artist initiatives present their grandeur, or at one of the afterparty’s…
Where we posted about the new Foals track ‘Spanish Sahara’, today we can announce that the website of their upcoming album is online. At totallifeforever you have to puzzle images (which are quite nice) to go forward and get more info about the new album. Each picture is accompanied by different sound parts, of which we may assume it belongs to the album.
Nice way of presenting a new album in times where creativity is hardly needed in the music industry!
Fashion and interiors photographer Todd Selby began taking portraits of dynamic and creative people—authors, musicians, artists, and designers—in their home environments and posting them on his web site. This was the first step to The Selby is in your place book. His idea was to see how personal style was reflected in private spaces. He found his subjects in their color-rich and eclectic quarters, including André Walker, Oliver Zahm, Karl Lagerfeld, Verbal, Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler, in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, and London.
Foals have just released their new song ‘Spanish Sahara’. The long awaited track is not quite what we would expect from them. It’s has a more grown-up sound, they left the sugar pills from their first album at home, but nonetheless we thinks it’s great. The song is accompenied by a great esthetic video. The new album will be released on may 10 and Foals are playing at Paradiso on april 14.
The new Gorillaz single ‘Stylo’ (featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack) finally has a video. It’s the first one of their new album ‘Plastic Beach’ and is best described as a grind house style car chase. Oohw and let’s not forget, Bruce Willis is in it! Be sure to watch this one on HD.
At contain.r we love a good football/soccer match, and although we won’t pretend to be experts in the field of football shoes, we know something about brand experiences and productlaunches. We were very impressed with the way Nike Launched their newest model.
They turned the huge Battersea Power Station purple and showed how to take a product launch to the next level. We think the photo’s speak for themselves.
